Who should attend?

The conference primarily targets attendants from the automotive industry, the aerospace & defense industry, discrete manufacturing (such as developers of machinery) and hightech electronics manufacturing, including the telecom business. We expect important industry representation from the manufacturing engineering area, industrial engineering and production engineering as well as representation from the IT domain such as Chief Information Officers, IT strategists, System architects, etc. To make this conference a truly open and neutral meeting place with leading technology and industry best practice, we will also expect particiation from the solution suppliers, from standard bodies and from academia.

"The amount of Manufacturing Data we need to manage is rapidly increasing. We need better and more standardised solutions, especially for communication and management of Manufacturing Data. MDT Europe can certainly play an important role in this development."

"Volvo is currently focussing on improving management of product structures within production as well as improving management of manufacturing related data. That is why we support MDT Europe and encourage anyone within the manufacturing area to attend and contribute to this new conference!"

"Digital Manufacturing is rapidly becoming the next major area of innovation and investment as industry seeks to bridge the gap between engineering and production. This is a key step in any company’s efforts to streamline their product lifecycle, and is an integral component of PLM for forward thinking companies. The benefits that have been demonstrated by companies that have already pursued these initiatives have been impressive, and successful companies must take advantage of these new initiatives. Manufacturing Data Technologies is a new event that is focused on the broad area of Digital manufacturing, and we’re pleased to be working with Eurostep to bring this program to industry.”

"Manufacturing is also in itself an area where significant investments are being made, many times larger than in the product definition. Manufacturing equipment are designed in collaboration between user and supplier, the design process can be ongoing for years and the equipment represents an asset that is operated and maintained for years with a true life cycle approach. It is important that the MDT domain learns from PDT and PDM, reuse what is good and avoids the pitfalls. That is what MDT Europe is all about.”
